Easily Forgotten

I have developed so many new habits over the last few years that I think anyone who knew me four plus years ago would be completely shocked. Yet I still fall into the trap of telling myself that I should be doing something else, or that I should be somewhere else.

I don’t believe in stroking one’s ego too much, but I do think giving yourself a little grace is almost a necessity.

You’re going to set goals and feel great for a second when you accomplish them. Or you’ll feel bad when you realize you have failed. No matter if it is a success or a failure there is always the moment when you ask, “what’s next?”.

It isn’t accomplishing goals that makes us happy. It is being okay with who you are wherever you’re at.

If you start to forget that…

Take a breath.

You are at the destination.
